Since the 12th of February Dublin has been invaded by giant Easter eggs designed by Irish artists and celebrities. You only have until the 15th of March to find the 100 eggs that have been scattered all around the city, after that they will all be displayed in one location for a week.
I only started paying attention to the Big Egg Hunt in the last few days and I’m becoming addicted to it. A free ‘I spy’ booklet with the pictures of the eggs plus a zone map is available in different locations and is necessary for finding all these wonderful Easter Eggs.
If you spot at least 20 eggs you can enter a draw and win prizes or if you really like one of the eggs, there will be an auction on Saturday 23rd March 2013 in the Four Seasons Hotel, Dublin. The Big Egg Hunt is sponsored by Lily O’Brien’s in support of the Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation, it’s a fun event and it makes the city prettier, I’d recommend going to have a look for the eggs out there while you still can!
I haven’t quite found 100 yet but I’m pretty close, here is a selection of my favourite ones!
